Title:  If Ever I Fall

Author Name:  Sonya Loveday

This is not the way love is supposed to start… is it?

When ariving in Scotland, Aiden Jacobson is ready to take on the task of setting up Cole

Enterprise’s newest underground headquarters. But when their most-wanted criminal, Robert de

Fleur, goes into hiding, Aiden is placed undercover at a local coffee shop. His mission—gather

intel from Brenda Anderson, sister of Robert de Fleur, while posing as a barista at The Grounded

Coffee shop owner Brenda Anderson needs all the help she can get when it comes to keeping the

Bean up and running. Unware of his ulterior motives, Brenda brings the mysterious and

handsome Aiden in with only one thing on her mind… Airen. Maybe her gypsy-souled niece

wouldn’t wander quite so far if she had someone like Aiden to keep her grounded.

Thrown together by circumstance, Airen becomes part of Aiden’s mission when Robert de Fleur

emerges from hiding, demanding something none of them can give. Knowing Robert won’t stop

until he gets what he wants, Aiden is ordered to stick as close as possible to keep an eye on them.

Staying at Brenda’s seems to be the simplest solution… until he wakes up in Airen’s bed.

Making a valiant attempt to shove his growing feelings aside, Aiden forces himself to walk away

and protect Airen from afar. Unfortunately, his plan backfires, and Robert de Fleur uses that

weakness to make his move.

Kicking himself for allowing his feelings to get in the way of the mission, Aiden sets out to do

what he should have done all along… take out Robert de Fleur once and for all. Can Aiden stick

to the mission, or will Airen tear down every defense he puts in place and gain complete entrance

to his heart?

Sonya Loveday, first and foremost is a reader, an avid one. It is of that love that brought her to

purchasing her first laptop in 2009, and publishing her first novel, Casted, in 2013.

In early 2014, Sonya expanded Casted and then went on to publish Spelled, the sequel to Casted in

March, wrapping up the series, and her stint with Paranormal Romance. For now.

Not long after the completion to the Casted Series, Sonya tried her hand at New Adult/Coming of Age, a

sub-genre of Contemporary Romance. Thusly, the Six were born with The Summer I Fell, which released

at the end of July 2014. The demand from readers was instantaniously, which brought about End Note,

the second book of the series in December 2014.

To date, Sonya lives in Central Florida with her husband, and two kids, and is currently working on her

fifth book set to release later this spring 2015.

Teaser Tuesday and Other Things

Hello once again, readers!!!

I’ve been super-cali-awfully-busy working on my own edits and clean-up on Everlost before it’s placed in the hands of my editor. So busy in fact, that I’m almost 75% done.

Can I get a woot!

A high-five, maybe?

Just kidding. I’ve set the date with the editor! April 1st! A/K/A… April’s Fools Day!

I wonder if that’s an omen. The superstitious side of me is a little rocky on the idea, but the impatient side of me that just wants to get this book in your hands is like:

Whatever gifAny who, it’s on its way which is all that matters. And, also, it’s teaser Tuesday! So here’s a snippet from what I worked on yesterday.

“Don’t,” I tell him, running my hand along his cheek. Down his neck. Stopping on the spot where his heart hides behind flesh and bone. “Don’t shut the pain out. You can’t ever get over it if you don’t try to accept it first. Losing someone impacts you whether you want it to or not, and the impact is like a drill opening you up, leaving you cold and exposed with this aching pain that won’t seem to go away. Believe me… I know.”

He looks down at me. Squints as my words register, and his heart slams once, and then twice against his chest.

“Okay.” That’s all he says. It’s all he needs to say.

For a moment, I think he might break into a million pieces as he allows the pain to rush in, overflow, and I’m afraid he’ll disappear behind the shadows he’s kept within his soul. Burn within the flames of hatred for his mother that he’s held onto for far too long.

But he doesn’t.

He just looks at me, wearing his pain more clearly than I’ve ever seen in his eyes before. Really letting himself feel what he feels.

“She smelled like malt liquor.”

My eyebrows pull together.

“The night she left. I remember that she smelled like malt liquor.”

My heart is in jagged pieces, scraping down my throat. I want to ask him more, but I don’t know how. I don’t want to push him when he’s so close to finally dealing with it.

He takes in a ragged breath. “I want to show you.”

And scene. Sooo… as you might have guessed by now, there is going to be a major problem/growth in this book for Jaxen. Lots and lots of feels. Lots and lots of secrets revealed. This is definitely the most shocking book yet in the series. :)

And with that I leave you on pins and needles.
