Spelled (Book Two of the Casted Series)
by Sonya Loveday
Publishing date: End of March / Beginning of April 2014
Releasing Elinor from the spell book was only the beginning for Jade.
When a surprise visit from Lorenzo sets off a downward spiral of events, Jade’s ripped from the confines of Edge’s home and plunged into the madness of the Triad.
Confused by the turn of events, Jade is only sure of four things:
My name is Jade Kinsley.
I’m 20 years old.
I’m an Enforcer for the Triad.
And I have a debt to settle with Original Coven.
Will Jade be able to break through the spell her Grandfather put on her and remember who she is, or will she become just another piece in Lorenzo’s game?
About the Author:
Sonya Loveday, first and foremost is a reader, an avid one. It is of that love that brought her to the realization that this was the answer to the nagging persistent feeling that ‘there’s got to be something more’.The dream came alive in 2009 when she purchased her laptop and began the tedious step of becoming a published author.
When she’s not reading, she’s writing. When she’s not writing, she’s reading. And when she’s not doing either of
those things she’s sleeping, shuttling her children back and forth to school, letting the dogs and cats in and out of the house for the umpteenth time in the last hour and dreaming of a clean house.

Hello once again, readers!!!
It’s cover reveal time for a good friend of mine, Dan Thompson. This novel looks really good and I can’t wait to read it! Of course it was done by the wonderful Ravven.
Here Lies Love Synopsis:
When she is sold by her father, Abbey discovers that nightmares can occur when you’re awake. Trapped inside a wooden cage, Abbey is forced to listen to the horrors and atrocities above; time ticking down until it is her turn. But Abbey isn’t prepared to become a victim; she will escape.
Although, what Abbey isn’t prepared for, is how harsh and unfair the world can be. With the sun turning its back on humanity long ago, life gives no opportunity. The only thing Abbey can do is learn to survive. To exist. And that means stealing any opportunity that comes her way. Haunted by the unpleasant memories bestowed upon her only nurtures Abbey’s paranoia, until she realises that to truly live in the world, she must confront the person who was responsible for her misfortune – her father.
Here Lies Love is a tale of actuality, of facing up to the fact that love comes in many guises. Can Abbey find the one glimmer of hope or will she be overcome with the darkness of revenge? Here Lies Love is coming April 2014.

Hello once again, readers!!! Today I have the privilege of showcasing the cover reveal for Lindy Zart’s latest novel in the Anything But series, Unremarkable! Check it out:
Unremarkable (Anything But #2)
Thrust into a reality that should be myth, Honor does what she has to do to survive. Some things are easy to say goodbye to. Others things, like her very being, are not so easy to let go of. And when she does, what then? What will she become?
As Honor fights to survive and to remain unaltered when everything around her, including her, has been, she is met with adversaries and champions. Ryder, Christian, Nealon—they all have a goal. Only Honor doesn’t know if their goals coincide with hers, or Superior August’s and the UDK society.
One thing she does know: the world isn’t big enough for all of them.
I’ve been writing since I was a wee lass. I was reading before that; possibly while still in the womb. Don’t think about that too much.
I started out with short horror stories and poetry. I was terrible at it. The poems not so much, but the stories were awful.
I decided to finish a book (and I DO mean finish–I’d started plenty throughout the years) when I was in my mid-twenties (so not that long ago because I’m young and will forever stay that way). Again, not my best work.
But that’s the thing about writing; it improves with time. (It’s also a good thing to know your work can’t possibly be any worse than it was when you first started.)
What I love most about writing is having people tell me how much they enjoy my work; how my writing touches them; makes them feel intensely.
Bringing a reader to laughter or tears is a wonderful feeling for a writer, and no, I’m not sadistic. *insert evil laugh HERE* It means I got them to feel, to respond to something I created.
Also, I just like to make stuff up and put it down on paper. I have an endless supply of stories in my head; lots of stuff to share with the world.

Hello once again, readers!!! It’s Tuesday. You know what that means… We still have three more days until the weekend. *sarcastic happy dance* My son just started school yesterday so we are back into the swing of things. And by that I mean getting up at the crack of dawn and fighting the drop-off traffic at his school.
If I was a morning person, it wouldn’t be so bad. But I am not a morning person. Far from it actually. I don’t think my morning kicks in until lunchtime actually. Sad, I know.
Soooo…my first ever author signing was a success! Even though I was extremely nervous, I managed to sell every copy I took of Born in Flames (which I think was 16 or 17 copies). There were quite a few readers who were browsing that actually recognized my novel or already had it on their ereader.
Can you believe that?!
I surely couldn’t. I thought I would be lucky if I sold one. Two of the purchases were from readers who had read it on their ereader and just wanted to have the physical as a keepsake.
To say that I was humbled is an understatement. It was amazing. All the wonderful authors I met and spoke with. All the wonderful readers who took time out of their day to come and support us all. It’s what makes being an Indie author rewarding. It’s a community. My next two won’t be until early next year, but I am so looking forward to them and to who I meet.
My side of the table.
But any who, now onto something you may or may not already know. I’ve had this post drafted for some time now, but haven’t got around to posting it so I guess now would be as good a time as any.
I love music. Like LOVE, love music. I have to have it playing when I write. It sets the mood and sometimes influences the actual scenes I write. When this happens, I like to keep track of the music that played such a heavy influence on my work. Also, it gives you the feel and tone of the writing. Below is the playlist I kept while writing Embracing the Flames. All of these songs were in my rotation and when I heard them, I just knew that they were apart of the story I was writing.
- M83 – You, Appearing.
- Florence + The Machine – Cosmic Love.
- Motorcycle – As The Rush Comes (Gabriel & Dresden Chill Out Mix).
- Tenth Avenue North – Times.
- AWOLNATION – Sail.
- Florence + The Machine – No Light, No Light.
- Ryan Stewart – Autumn
- Shock To Your System – Tegan and Sara.
- Hear me - Imagine Dragons
- Pyres of Varanasi - Thirty Seconds to Mars
Do you know any of these? Do you love them? Hate them? Some of the songs stuck out because of the lyrics. They sang true to what the character was going through or the direction of the plot.
Now to leave you with a question: What inspires you?
