Hello once again, readers!
Before I get to the good stuff- the facts about Jaxen Gramm that I know you’re just dying to read- I wanted to give you a few updates on Evernight.
1. Thunderclap- if you haven’t heard of it, it’s a promotional site that helps boost a social media post far and wide. I haven’t tried it before, so I’m not sure how well it works, but I figured I’d give it a go. Basically, I need 100 supporters for the campaign, and on the scheduled day, the post will release at the same time by all 100 followers, giving it a better chance at being seen by viewers.
All you have to do is sign up using one of your social media accounts, and the pre-made post will be posted for you on that day.
2. Facebook Event- I’ve set up the event for the release of Evernight (Night Watchmen, #2), which falls on October 31st. There’s a on-going contest which runs until release day for the person who invites the most friends, so be sure to join and invite. You’ll have the chance to win a signed paperback copy of Evernight (Night Watchmen, #2), a signed Night Watchmen t-shirt, and signed Night Watchmen swag (bookmarks, buttons, & a keychain).
3. Evernight Blog Tour- the blog tour is currently open for sign-ups. Any who post, or want to review, will receive an e-ARC before the release. Please sign up, and thank you in advance!
4. Release Day Blitz- there will be a blitz taking place from October 31st to November 4th with Xpresso Book Tours. The sign-ups are open for any, so if you can’t do the tour, you can sign up for that.
Okay… I think that’s it. Now for the good stuff.
So you want to know more about the mysterious and somewhat infuriating Jaxen Gramm, ladies? Well, today is your lucky day since I’ve got him in the hot seat, ready to spew some interesting facts about himself that you might not know about from reading any of the Night Watchmen books.
Fact #1- He likes to collect superhero figurines. He had a large collection up until his father died and his mother left them. Now, they’re kept at his grandmother’s house in a box up in the attic.
Fact #2- He likes to read. Anything and everything, fiction and non-fiction, especially if it’s about something that he’s interested in. Gavin used to pick on him when they were little because he was always curled up in a corner reading when their parents were out hunting.
Fact #3- He looked for, and almost found his mother. He caught wind of a rumor right before he was caught up with Faye’s parents that she was living near Salem, Oregon, which is where his family Manor is located. He was never able to follow the lead because of his assignment with Mack.
Fact #4- On the anniversary of the day his father died and his mother left, he takes a shot of whiskey in his room in total darkness.
Fact #5- If not for the curse, he would want to settle down and have three kids. He’s always loved children, he just doesn’t want to bring them into the world, only to lose a parent like he did.
Fact #6- Every year on his birthday, Gavin gives him a pocketknife as a gift. And every year, he puts last year’s knife in the box with his superhero figurines so he can make use of the new one.
Fact #7- His dream job would be owning a fishing boat and making a living off chasing the different open seasons.
Fact #8- The only thing he’s ever failed completely in was home-ec. He can’t cook to save his life.
Fact #9- Out of the many girlfriends he’s had in the past, none of them has ever made it past the two-week mark. None except Faye.
Fact #10- He turned down the chance to enter an art competition for a scholarship in high school because he had his heart set on being a Night Watchmen, so he could uncover the truth behind his father’s death and his mother’s disappearance. The last day of high school was the last day he opened his sketch book. What he drew was a little boy staring at a dark forest with creepy eyes, reaching out to something you can’t quite see.
